Alongside various sponsoring departments within Dalhousie Medical School, we provide two, large annual conferences. These intensive programs, varying in length from one to three days, are designed to provide you with the most up-to-date information possible.

No matter what your professional focus is, you’ll find something to enhance your skills and further your knowledge. From our cardiovascular conference to hands-on surgical workshops and everything in between, our attendance numbers prove that they’re a worthwhile investment of your time.

Family Medicine Refresher

  • Audience: family physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, hospitalists
  • Goal: to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and skills in family medicine, informed by the best available evidence

Therapeutics Refresher

  • Audience: primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners
  • Goal: to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and skills in the area of therapeutics in family medicine, informed by the best available evidence

Emergency Medicine Refresher

  • Audience: emergency physicians, pharmacists, paramedics, emergency nurses, nurse practitioners
  • Goal: to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and skills for the management of emergencies, informed by the best evidence available  

Medicine Matters

  • Audience: physicians providing broad-based care in internal medicine, including those covering on-call, acute presentations, and hospital-based care
  • Goal: to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and skills in the area of general internal medicine, informed by the best available medicine

 

 


* Dalhousie Academic Detailing Service is currently detailing with the topic Type 2 Diabetes: What After Metformin?
