A full spectrum of specialized geriatric care with significant patient experience

The Division of Geriatric Medicine provides an outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate experience for medical students, rotating residents or geriatric medicine subspecialty residents. You will be exposed to the full spectrum of geriatric care, from assessment to treatment, conducted in a variety of hospital, outpatient clinic and nursing home settings in and around Halifax. Residency training opportunities also extend to the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Diverse training sites offer you significant clinical and educational experiences working directly with patients in settings such as the geriatric assessment unit, restorative care and progressive care units at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, inpatient and outpatient consultation services, and outpatient geriatric day hospital.
