Pathology's Dr David Conrad appeared on CTV Your Morning this month to discuss the groundbreaking Cellfie Project on national television.
“I was approached by the pediatric hematology group at the IWK last May, and it was a patient’s idea to come down to the lab and see their cells," Dr Conrad explained to host Kelsey McEwen about the genesis of the project.
“I thought about what it probably must be like to hear you have cancer and be told that your treatment is working, that you’re in remission, and how I might be able to help that by showing proof of it, showing them the bad cells there at the beginning and that the bad cells are gone after treatment and it seems to have had the impact I was hoping.”
The interview is available for viewing on YouTube.
