Research

Seeking Innovative Solutions

Our researchers are working on innovative projects that are designed to improve the lives of people suffering from urologic diseases and disorders. Our vibrant research program ranges from molecular biology and genetics with urologic applications to technologic development for clinical use. Our researchers participate in a wide variety of research projects, including basic science laboratory research, population-based studies and clinical trials.

To enrich our research endeavours, the department's research committee, which is chaired by Dr. Ricardo Rendon, actively reviews ongoing research activities and recommends strategies for enhancing and attracting inter-departmental collaboration.

Not only is our research creating an impact in the scientific community, but we're also making a difference right here at home. We're studying new treatments and surgical techniques that have an impact on the care our patients receive. Positive outcomes from our research are directly applied to our clinical practices.

Resident Research

Our residents work hard to create a dynamic research environment.

Medical Student Research

Undergraduate medical students are encouraged to participate in our departmental research.
