Location: Halifax Public Library, Lindsay Children's room, 2nd floor
Dr. John Frank will present evidence of the impact of seven key societal investments - such as the investment in the reduction of childhood obesity and income guarantees for seniors. Did the interventions result in more equitable health across socio-economic levels?
Dr. Frank will show how these investments have, or have not, affected health and its determinants in Scotland, England and Wales, and Canada. Dr. Robert Strang, Chief Public Health Officer of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, will join the discussion to provide a Nova Scotia context.
