The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children's Health (CanWaCH) is proud to present its second annual awards for Canadian excellence in global women and children’s health. These prestigious honours will be bestowed upon individuals whom have demonstrated significant contribution towards Canada’s advancement of global health for women and children in the following four categories: Leadership, Gender Equality, Measuring Impact,Young Leader, Partnership.

Submission Deadline: March 2, 2015 2015 Global Health Awards at Dalhousie: Making a difference in global health The Global Health office invites you to submit nominations for the 2015 Global Health Awards at Dalhousie. There are three global health awards recognizing student, resident and faculty achievement and leadership in global health.

Application Deadline: Jan 30, 2015. These bursaries help to finance your global health education. In order to qualify students must be fourth-year medical student at Dalhousie University, must complete pre-departure training organized through the GHO, complete the requirements for international travel as a Dalhousie University student and the elective must be approved by the Undergraduate Medical Education office.

Post-secondary students who identify as African Nova Scotian, Aboriginal, immigrant and/or as persons with a disability are invited to apply for a diversity bursary.

Nomination Deadline: Oct 31, 2014. The nomination, including 1 copy of all documentation, should be sent to the AFMC at awards@afmc.ca. This new AFMC award aims to celebrate people or organizations whose professional accomplishments are an example of the principles of social accountability implemented as defined in the Global Consensus for Social Accountability of Medical Schools and in internationally recognized references.
