Dalhousie’s Medical School is seeking community partners for our new service learning program for the 2016-2017 academic year and beyond! The service learning program for medical students provides non-clinical, community-based experiences that help students understand the essential role community organizations play in promoting the health of individuals and communities, and how the social determinants of health intersect and impact communities and the people who live in our communities.
As a program partner, you will be a co-educator of our students as they put their classroom knowledge into practice in real world setting in a way that also addresses a community identified need. We are seeking community-based partners who meet the following criteria:

- Not-for-profit organization
- Possess a social mission
- Provide a collaborative supervised setting
- Provide an opportunity for contact with marginalized/underserviced populations
- Provide a safe learning environment for students
