Dates: Winter Term 2019
Location: Dalhousie University
This mini course is an introduction to collaborative work in global health, climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The course will be global in coverage but with a focus on low- and middle-income countries, the health of the poor, and health disparities. Particular attention will be paid to the linkages between health, environment and climate change.
Students will be challenged to reconsider some of their own assumptions about diversity and cultural norms, inequities and inequalities and their role on health teams.
The course will cover key concepts and frameworks but be practical in orientation.
