About

Educating top dermatologists

If you’re interested in dermatology, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a resident, medical student or practicing physician—you’ll find excellent educational opportunities that meet your needs at the Division of Clinical Dermatology and Cutaneous Science at Dalhousie University.

We're recognized for excellence in education, patient care and research. It’s a relatively small division, made up primarily of community-based specialists who are vital to providing clinical care and teaching the individuals enrolled in our program. These programs include a five-year residency program, undergraduate education and continuing professional development opportunities.

As a tertiary referral service for the Canadian Maritimes, we predominantly provide outpatient consultations at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, but we also offer inpatient and emergency room consultations.

We’re also committed to our research efforts, and our vibrant research programs give our residents and faculty regular opportunities to deliver case presentations and conduct literature reviews.
