Thank you for your interest in the Dalhousie ophthalmology undergraduate program. We offer a variety of research, observership, and elective experiences with our faculty. We are also involved in the undergraduate medical core curriculum through lectures, workshops and clinical skills sessions.

The Nova Scotia Eye Care Centre is the tertiary eye care centre for the Maritimes and our learners are exposed to a variety of patient pathologies and sub specialities within ophthalmology.

Deadlines

If you’re applying for fall electives (September to December), you must submit your application form four months in advance, and you’ll be added to the wait list. If we approve the weeks you’ve requested, we’ll notify you by email after July 1.
