Annual Retreat 2026

The Department of Pathology's Annual Retreat was held on June 3, 2026 at the Lord Nelson Hotel.

Facilitating discussion

Fire Inside coaches Sandi and Julian introduced a framework designed to help leaders understand and navigate modern change and uncertainty. Discussion, collegiality and collaboration would be the goal for the day.

Strategic Vision

Dr. Graham Gagnon (Research and Innovation), Dr. David Anderson (Faculty of Medcine) and Dr. Aaron Smith (NSH, Central Zone) gave their presentations on the implementation of Dalhousie's Strategic Vision. Dr. Anderson gave his final presentation to the Department of Pathology as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

Strategic Planning

Dr. Todd Hatchette (Research), Dr. Thomas Arnason (Education) and Dr. Manal Elnenaei (Clinical) gave their reports on strategic planning for the year ahead.

Breakout sessions

With the Strategic Vision and Strategic Planning reports having been given, attendees split up into breakout sessions.
