Encouraging lifelong learning

Our continuing professional development events and activities provide exceptional education opportunities for members of the department, our community partners and the broader clinical community.

Regular activities include grand rounds, departmental and subspecialty journal clubs, workshops and seminars. We also offer workshops and seminars on topics such as crisis management, providing effective feedback and simulation.

Physicians and allied health professionals from other departments partake in many of our continuing professional development activities. Events are accredited by the Dalhousie Department of Continuing Medical Education, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Maintenance of Certification Program, the College of Family Physicians or the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society.
