If you’re interested in the Dalhousie dermatology residency program, simply apply through the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS).

Selection criteria

We select top candidates based on:

• academic excellence
• clinical skills
• interpersonal skills
• other attributes such as research experience and extracurricular activities

Selection policy

Preference is given to Canadian medical graduates who have not had previous post-MD clinical training.

If you’re an international medical graduate, you must have passed the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) and Part 1 of the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). Among international medical graduates, preference will be given to those living in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island and working in an area of health care.
