Claudio Di Quinzio, BSBC MD FRCPC
Assistant professor, in Anesthesia and in Cardiac Surgery
Dr. Claudio Di Quinzio completed his training at Dalhousie University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with honours (1984), his Medical Degree (1988), and then pursued Anaesthesia Residency training at Dalhousie from 1993 to 1997. Seeking specialized training, he subsequently completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care at the University of British Columbia between 1997 to 1999 and received his National Board Certificate in Transeophageal Echocardiography in 1999. While he maintains a busy cardiac anaesthesia practice in the operating room and serves as a critical care intensivist in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Dr. Di Quinzio remains active in clinical teaching for trainees, at all levels, in both Anaesthesia and the CVICU.
