Conference Dates: June 16 - 19, 2015
Beyond Nature vs. Nurture
The Centre’s Co-Directors, Michael Ungar and Linda Liebenberg, along with their partners in more than 20 countries, invite you to an international gathering to explore the theme “Pathways to Resilience: Beyond Nature vs. Nurture”, at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The conference will explore many different aspects of resilience, and how the theory is informing research, practice and policy on a global level. Building from the first two highly attended conferences in 2005 & 2010, Beyond Nature vs. Nurture will encourage discussions that examine how to design clinical interventions, human service systems and social policies that contribute to sustaining resilience. The event begins with pre-conference workshops on June 16th, followed by the main event which welcomes an international roster of keynote and plenary speakers, including Ann Masten, Catherine Panter-Brick, and Joop de Jong.
