(Posters must be put up on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014 between 3:00-3:30.)
The Global Health Office invites you to submit abstracts for poster presentations at our Global Health Day open house, to be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 3:30-5:00pm. This event focuses on research initiatives and education programs in Global Health at Dalhousie University, and provides students, faculty and the community an opportunity to highlight their global health experience.
Submissions are encouraged on a wide range of subjects, including global health research, local-global health issues, student initiatives, international electives, aboriginal/northern electives, refugee/immigrant health, etc.
Poster presenters are requested to stand by their posters during the open house, where possible. Presenters will be provided with a free-standing 4 x 4 (length x height) poster board as well as pins to affix the presentations. Audio-visual or tables may be available, upon request.
Posters may be printed as formal research posters or power point slides. (The Global Health Office is happy to provide support and/or poster templates for students.)
Submission Process
All abstracts are to be submitted by email to brie.rehbein@dal.ca. Abstracts must not exceed 200 words, not including authors or title. Please include an outline of the program/project/course study objectives, statement of methods, summary of results and statement of conclusions.
NB. Please include your name, program and position or year of study.
