Location: LINC Room, Killam Library
This mini-course will provide interprofessional teams of students with an in-depth exposure to global health, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making in local and international contexts. This 9-hour module will be comprised of a combination of lecture, multimedia resources, individual readings and reflection, group work and interactive case studies. It addresses the CIHC interprofessional competencies of patient/client/family community-focused care, team functioning, role clarification and collaborative leadership. Through this mini-course, the goal of interprofessional collaboration is explored and how these competencies are enacted by allied health professions within a determinants of health framework in global health contexts.
