Dr. Jeff Blackmer, University of Ottawa , Executive Director of the Office of Ethics, Professionalism and International Affairs at the Canadian Medical Association
We are thrilled to present this session with Drs. Bernard and Blackmer. Dr. Bernard is the medical director, pre-anesthetic clinic at the QEII in Halifax and is an assistant professor of anesthesia. He has been active in international relations and global health for a number of years and is currently the Canadian Medical Association’s representative on the World Medical Association’s Council. Dr. Blackmer contributes to national and international efforts in medical ethics through activities such as serving as an expert advisor in medical ethics to the World Health Organization in Geneva, chairing various international ethics working groups, and speaking at numerous national and international medical ethics meetings and conferences throughout the year.
