What are the current challenges to the provision of care for those who are living in poverty and in particular people who are homeless? What are some innovative ways that these challenges can be addressed? How can a consideration of these challenges provide us with a deeper understanding of the state of health and health care in Halifax and beyond?
Award-winning physician Dr. Jeffrey Turnbull will share his experiences as one of the founders and currently the Medical Director of the Inner City Health Project for the homeless in Ottawa.
An Interactive Panel will discuss the above questions based on what they have experienced as providers of housing, health care and support services in our community.
