Theme: Developing Culturally Competent Primary Health Assessment Approaches for LGBTQ Populations in Nova Scotia
The Knowledge Sharing Workshop on LGBTQ Health will focus on sharing the findings of our research on LGBTQ health in Nova Scotia with key decision-makers and knowledge-users to inform the process of developing primary health priorities and consensus on:
1) what are the salient primary health issues to be measured
2) how best to measure these to help inform primary health practices and responses, and
3) how to develop culturally competent baseline primary health assessment approaches and tools, with, for and by the LGBTQ communities in Nova Scotia.
The outcomes of this knowledge-sharing workshop will be used to develop and pilot the LGBTQ primary health assessment approaches and tools.
