Join Venky Balakrishna
Venky Balakrishna is a learning-centered activist, consultant and trainer (disability rights, development and organizational development). He has made learning-centered interventions in over 30 countries with organizations such as Save the Children Fund (UK and Ethiopia), Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG) (Sri Lanka), UNDP (Afghanistan), and The Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia.
Venky is currently chair of the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Global Network and an advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) on INCLUDE, an on-line training program on how to use the CBR Guidelines. As Chair of the (CBR) Global Network, he recently presented on how CBR can be sustainable and moderated sessions in the 3rd Asia-Pacific CBR Congress held in Tokyo, Japan. Venky is visiting Nova Scotia from India for the month of October as part of a collaborative learning lab initiated by People Development Ltd.
