Posted by GHO Admin on October 5, 2016 in Events

Submission deadline: Nov 30, 2016 @ 4pm

These scholarships were created to provide funding for student research that is related to Physicians for Global Survival's Mission statement.  The scholarships are in memory of Tom Perry and Betty Smith and are valued between $500 and $1000.  Because of our concern for global health, we are committed to the abolition of nuclear weapons, the prevention of war, the promotion of nonviolent means of conflict resolution and social justice in a sustainable world.

Physicians for Global Survival (PGS) is a Canadian Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to the prevention of nuclear war.  They are the Canadian affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War which won the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize.

  • Students at any level of study, in any field, in a Canadian University
  • Projects may be part of students' course work but must reflect aspects of the PGS mission statement
  • An independent report is required for PGS for national and international distribution
