Deadling: Ongoing
As part of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation (2016-2021) funding, Dalhousie’s Indigenous and African Nova Scotian students are encouraged to apply for two bursary programs:
- Entrance Requirements bursary program
- Conference bursary program
The Entrance Requirements bursary program is designed as an initiative for Indigenous students (First Nation, Inuit, and Métis) and African Nova Scotians applying to programs requiring entrance exams (e.g. medical school, dental school). The goal of the program is to reduce or eliminate the financial burden associated with application requirements.
The Conference bursary program is designed as an initiative for Indigenous students (First Nation, Inuit, and Métis) and African Nova Scotians at Dalhousie University. The goal of the program is to enable students to attend extracurricular programing (i.e. Conferences) as part of their professional development (does not include courses).
For more information and to complete the application process please visit our Indigenous Health program page or Promoting Leadership in Health for African Nova Scotians page as appropriate.
