The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Indigenous Studies commencing July 1, 2019.
We seek an indigenous scholar, with a promising research profile and agenda, demonstrated potential for teaching excellence, and a willingness to engage with the larger community. Candidates should also be able to draw from their own experience of Indigeneity and their connections with the Indigenous community. The successful candidate will teach from the core courses in Indigenous Studies which include Historical Issues in Indigenous Studies; Contemporary Issues in Indigenous Studies; and Indigenous Methodology and Knowledge Practices. They will teach additional courses in Indigenous Studies in their more specific area of expertise.
