Interested medical students and residents should apply through the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS).

We select candidates based on

• interest in and knowledge of the specialty
• academic potential and background
• potential for performance in stressful circumstances
• potential for acquisition of technical skills, communication skills and humanistic attitudes

We emphasize teamwork and social skills, and we encourage applicants to have completed at least one anesthesia elective.
