Research and Professional Skills Training Sessions Winter 2015. Sessions are free and open to anyone affiliated with Dalhousie University, Capital Health and IWK Health Centre. Graduate and medical students receive a transcript notation after attending 7 IHRTP sessions.

This session will begin with a 30 minute presentation on ''grantsmanship'' by Dr. Gerry Johnston (Associate Dean, Research), followed by a peer-review panel demonstration that will give you an insider's view at what reviewers
think about your grant.

Writing a Lay Summary

This workshop will being with a short presentation on the importance of honing your lay summary writing skills. Following this, attendees will work on their own lay summaries, in one of the following break-out groups: 1) beginning a lay summary from scratch or 2) improving an existing lay summary.
