Call for abstracts: Bethune Round Table May 2023 -Sustainability in Global Surgery.
8th Annual ARGO symposium themed “Integrating evidence and innovation in addressing cancer care challenges in Nigeria” took place in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. This year’s symposium gathered a multi-disciplinary team of leading local and international experts across various specialties including surgery, radiology, pathology, interventional radiology, medical oncology, medical lab science, nursing oncology and radiography.
Two-day programs comprise of 9 sessions focused on providing up to date information and hands on training in various aspects of colorectal, breast, and hepatobiliary cancers. Dr. Gregory Knapp, one of the expert speakers who provided insights on neoadjuvant chemotherapy in Breast Cancer.
In collaboration with DAL Anesthesia and Global Health Equity and Advocacy unit, GSO organize GH discussion series events featuring leaders in global health. These evenings are consisting of short presentations on topics related to global health. The purpose of these discussions is to gather department members, health care providers across specialties, and friends within the academic community at Dalhousie to discuss global health issues and share experiences.
