Catherine Deshaies, MD MSc FRCSC

Dr. Catherine Deshaies attended medical school at McGill University. She completed a PhD in biomedical sciences at Université de Montréal, and residency training, at Dalhousie University. She then completed a 2-year fellowship in pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery at the Texas Children’s Hospital, USA, followed by another 6 months of pediatric specialization at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne, Australia. She returned to Halifax to start her congenital practice, working both at the IWK and QEII.
