Dimitri Kalavrouziotis
Associate Professor
Dr. Dimitri Kalavrouziotis joined the Division of Cardiac Surgery at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in September 2026, and has been appointed Associate Professor of Surgery at Dalhousie University. He completed medical school at McGill University, and did his residency as well as his MSc in clinical epidemiology at Dalhousie. He went on to fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, and has been a cardiac surgeon at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute from 2013 until 2026. His current interests include minimally invasive mitral valve surgery, aortic valve disease, cardiovascular outcomes research, and optimizing clinical results following aortic valve interventions.
