Jon Gale, BSc (Hons) MD FRCPC

Born and raised in Halifax, Dr. Gale completed his Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine training at Dalhousie University before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton. His fellowship focused on the post-operative management of cardiovascular surgery patients and the care of patients requiring mechanical circulatory support. He is thrilled to be back home in Nova Scotia and is proud to contribute to the care of patients across the Maritime provinces. His clinical and academic interests include cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, and point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS), with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-informed critical care to complex cardiac surgical patients
